This intersection was rehabilitated in 2008-2009 with subsurface repairs, a new asphalt driving surface and new traffic signals. The westbound signals were installed in the mid 2000s, at which time the remaining three directions received the five-head left-turn signal on the original green mast arms. This configuration remained until the remaining new signals were installed in 2009. Another change in 2009 was the demolition of the Sheridan Village shopping center on the southwest corner. The center once housed, among other stores, a Borden's Cafeteria on the second floor, which included an upper level for parking that was accessed by a ramp. Following closure of Borden's in 1984, the former cafeteria later became a bingo hall, among other things, before succumbing to the wrecking ball in 2009. Photo taken December 2009.
